Green Midi Skirt

I've said it before, and I'm saying it again ... I'm always in total shock when I find a midi skirt that works on my 5'2" frame! For some reason I had it in my head that short girls can't rock this trend, and boy was I wrong! What I've learned through a lot of trial and error is that all you need is a high waisted piece paired with shoes that give you a bit of a boost, and you're good to go!

Speaking of these booties ... I feel like I could write an entire post on them! I bought them in two different colors, and I love that they come up a bit higher on my ankle than other pairs that I own. It doesn't hurt that I didn't have to pay a fortune for them, either. Even better news for YOU is that they're actually ON SALE for $20 off

In the spirit of full disclosure, there was one thing that I wasn't crazy about when it comes to this skirt, and it's that it wrinkles super easily ... I steamed it before we left the house, and somehow between then and us taking these photos, it was already creasing. I was super bummed because as we all know, I'm a low maintenance kind of gal, so a piece that requires a ton of TLC before I walk out the door is just not for me.

Other than the fabric, I love everything about it! The color is perfect for fall, the buttons down the front add a sweet detail, and the length is spot on, but given the maintenance it probably won't be a piece that I reach for often. Because of this, I've linked several different midi skirts that are similar to this one down at the bottom of this post for the ladies like me that prefer a piece that you could pop in the dryer a few minutes before you walk out the door and be totally wrinkle free. :)
