Living Room: Christmas Edition 2016

Living Room Christmas Decor Reveal via www.chelceytate.com

Merry Christmas Eve! πŸŽ„ If there was ever a more appropriate time for me to share our Christmas living room reveal, it's right now while I'm hanging out in bed watching Elf on Christmas Eve! This is the first time we've intentionally decorated our home for the holiday season after moving in together 4 years ago ... The reason was equally an issue of avoiding the inevitable fact that Kodah bear would have literally torn our tree to shreds when he was a puppy, and us not wanting to spend a ton of money on Christmas decor when neither of us were home very much to enjoy it.

Don't be fooled by these photos ... There's a super great reason I'm only showing you our living room. πŸ˜‰ We're slowly trying to build up a collection of things that we truly love for our home, and with that comes time. Our kitchen has a few gold glittered nutcrackers and trees made of wood, but honestly? It still looks a little bare. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is ... Don't get discouraged when you're decorating for Christmas! If there's anything I've learned this year it's that it's far more important to invest in pieces that you actually love rather than buying a bunch of cheap stuff you'll throw out before the next year.

Speaking of things that I'm never throwing out ... Check out this hipster Santa pillow + the reindeer one that looks just like Sean! πŸ˜‚ I seriously love these pillows so much that I throw them in the hall closet at night just to make sure that Kodah doesn't decide they're chew toys in the middle of the night. Oh, and this Letterfolk board (the thing that says "May your days be merry & bright") is the best. I may have actually squealed when it showed up at my door! It's a classic piece that will carry us through season after season, and I swear I smile every time I see it!

Well, friends ... I hope you love our living room holiday decor as much as we do! It seriously makes all the difference in getting you in the Christmas spirit to have your home reflect the warmth of this season. Do you decorate for the holidays? Where are your favorite places to shop for holiday decor?
